Yoga Inversion Swing - Third Week Workout - Journal # 3

Hi, my name is Nancy Fleck and I a new owner of the Omni Yoga Inversion Swing System, including the tripod linked in stand, padded swing and trapeze. I have written two journals so far on my journey to getting relief from obesity and all the ailments that comes with it, back pain and in my case (curvature of the lower spine), arthritis pain and stress.

Last week I documented my starting body measurements. Below, I have written my new measurements for the week ending May 30, 2010. This is my personal journal of starting my exercise routine with my new Yoga Inversion Swing System and what exercises I have added this week that I have learned to do on my new Yoga Inversion Swing.

There are many exercise machines that are good machines, but all of them are limited to what they can and will do for you. Since you can also invert on the Yoga Inversion Swing, I feel that you can get all your needs met with one machine. If you are using the inversion stand versus suspension from the ceiling, you are using space. But, if you are getting everything you need from one machine, you don't need all those other machines that are placed around the house taking up floor space. You won't mind the space your stand takes because it will be the last machine you will need to purchase and you won't need the other machines taking up space in your home.

Also, the possibilities are endless as to what exercises you can perform on the swing. You won't get a chance to get bored on the Yoga Inversion Swing. Also, the bounce you get from the trapeze device, will keep you coming back for more comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing sessions. You are suspended in air, gravity free, so there is no limit to how you can move. You will be able to move your body in a multitude of ways. I have found that the Yoga Inversion Swing System is a superior machine because it also does full back inversion. What other machine does that?

I have been doing three short sessions daily of power walking. I have now needed to add arm weights as the short distances three times a day started to get too easy. By doing this, I can still do the shorter distances, but since I have added 2 1/2 pound weights to my arms, it isn't easy anymore, so I can remain on the same distance, which is great if you are short on time.

Since starting the power walking I have lost a little over 11 pounds. I feel that I have finally gotten my metabolism working again. This, along with using the Yoga Inversion Swing for toning and shaping, I am on my way to becoming healthy and fit.

Also, one other thing I want to tell you about is that when I am on the Yoga Inversion Swing, I sweat a lot. I think it is because I am using a lot of muscles to keep myself steady to do the moves that I am doing on the swing. I believe this swing will help you to lose weight because your body is having to expend energy and move more muscles you wouldn't ordinarily have to use if you were on the floor performing the exercises.

I have a significant amount of weight to lose, at least 59 more pounds. I wrote a journal last week, Journal # 2, and told of the exercises I was doing starting out. I have added three more exercise to the list this week -

1) Standing in the circle of the Yoga Inversion Stand, I reach up and grab hold of the trapeze and hang from the bar. I feel a really good stretch in my arms and back. I also spread my legs apart and rest my weight on my legs and feel a very good stretch in the inner thigh.

2) I sit on the swing seat and bring the back of the swing under my arms. I then bend my back, like doing a back bend on the swing and grab hold of my ankles. This is similar to a Bow pose on the floor. This is very similar to that pose only you have the swing supporting your back.

3) I lay down on the floor on my stomach, reach up with both hands and grab hold of the lowest handle grips, arching my back and I bring my head up and back. This pose is something like the Cobra pose done on the floor, only when done on the floor, your arms are on the floor supporting your weight. With the Yoga Inversion Swing, you are hanging from your arms with your back arched and are also getting the stretch through your arms as well as your neck and back.

I know I have a long way to go, but I can see more positive results this week! That is why I am journaling my results, so you can benefit by seeing those results on a weekly basis. You can tell people you are losing weight, you can tell people that you are changing your shape, but I understand that I need to see and other people need to see this happening.

My husband has promised to take my picture on my Yoga Inversion Swing tomorrow night. As soon as it is done, I will post it and you will be able to see me enjoying my swing! You will also be able to see me getting smaller and more shapely as the time passes! I am 61 years old and up to now, have had a very sedentary lifestyle. Remember, if I can do it, you can too!!! What I have learned from getting out of shape and becoming obese is this, "exercise and good nutrition is necessary to living a long and healthy life." One without the other equals failure which equals being fat, sick and tired. But, we are not going to look back anymore, just forward to success!

The jaws are a little bendy, not as robust as in the Carnegie scale model of the Tylosaurus from the same manufacturer, but they are unlikely to break unless subjected to extremely rough handling. Ironically, as one of the last of the Mosasaurs to evolve, the likes of Mosasaurus hoffmanni upon which we assume this model is based, had a very strong and powerful set of jaws with one of the strongest bites of any member of the Mosasaur clade. The model is painted a light blue in the main, with lighter, off-white shading on the underside. The tail represents about forty percent of the entire animal's length, this is in keeping with the fossil evidence. The tail broadens out to form a blade, an aid to help this marine reptile propel itself through its ocean habitat. However, whether Mosasaurus had a broad tail is open to conjecture, indeed a recent paper submitted by a team of scientists from North America suggested that Mosasaurs, like the earlier Ichthyosaurs actually had fish-like tail fins. Unfortunately, the known fossil record does not provide firm evidence of a presence of a fish-tail like structure, this is despite the wealth of Mosasaur fossil material available for study.

Can I Paint Bathroom Tile?

I was recently looking for information on the internet, to see if it was possible to paint bathroom tile. There certainly are quite a few contradictory opinions on this subject, depending on which website you are looking at.

Some people insist that you can't paint tile in areas that get a lot of moisture. However, my conclusion after considerable research is that if the surface to be painted is properly prepared, and the type of paint used is carefully chosen, it is even possible to paint bathroom tile in a shower stall.

Before I go into the conflicting advice given on various websites, let me point out that I was looking for DIY methods. Professional painters have the resources and skills to do a much better job of painting bathroom tile than most of us.

I ran across an excellent video put out by a California painting contractor. They did the job using a spray painter, and the person doing the job was wearing all-body protective gear. This is not equipment that most of us have on hand. In this article, I will stick to methods that use equipment that is readily available to the do-it-yourselfer.

To paint bathroom tile, there are three main steps:

1) Prepare the surface. The tile surface must first be cleaned. Painting over dirt, grease, or mold is definitely not recommended. Various cleaners can be used - from muriatic acid ( best leave this to the pros ) to household ammonia to TSP ( trisodium phosphate ). Probably any of these solutions will do the job, if used as recommended.

The next part of the preparation is very controversial. Should the tile surface be sanded or not? Proponents of sanding argue that tiles have a shiny surface, and without sanding, the paint will easily peel right off. And the tiny scratches that sanding leaves on the surface are not noticeable after the paint is applied. The naysayers don't agree that the scratches are hidden, and suggest using a primer that is made to adhere to any surface.

2) Apply a primer. The choice here is between oil-based and acrylic paints. Professional painters are adamant in their opinion, but they don't agree with one another. Some recommend 100% acrylic paint, but others just as strongly advocate an oil-base primer. This disagreement among the pros leads me to believe that either choice is probably workable, as long as the surface has been properly prepared.

3) Apply the topcoat. Here again, there is considerable disagreement on the choice of paint with which to paint bathroom tile. Some say that any gloss or semigloss paint may be used if the foundation was properly prepared. And there is a school of thought that advocates epoxy paint, which is naturally waterproof. However, the proper mixing of the two-part epoxy is not a simple task.

A final, additional step to paint bathroom tile is often mentioned. After waiting several days for the topcoat to thoroughly dry, you can seal the paint with a thin layer of transparent polyurethane. This sounds like an excellent idea.

Now let's introduce the Arabic JELQ milking method which is one of the most important practices in the manual. Here we focus on introducing the principle of the method and practice methods. This method should be practiced daily to ensure that the penis maintain the largest cell capacity. Keep doing the exercise for three-month, you will see the result. Six weeks latter, many people including myself have been 1-inch length of growth.

Before your practice you should seize your penis head and gently pull out. And then you should circle the direction of rotation of your penis. After a few minutes circling, make sure that you have to heat packaged ready. Then use the packaging method for preheating we have introduced to you before.

JELQ milking method is made up these steps. First, you should gently massage the penis to maintain the blood in the penis. Use your thumb and forefinger to seize the penile shaft (bottom). Use your index finger and thumb hold together as an OK sign. Only in this way your penis will be firmly grasped and caught in the middle. With your thumb together index finger, you should squeeze your penis slowly sliding forward, forcing blood to the penis forward. Milking every time you move forward, blood in the penis will be forced to become greater. Use one hand to move forwards of the glans and the other milk the root of the penis. Each exercise should last for one second. After practice, your penis should have the right size which is different from the before. Of course, it will be bigger.

When you started your JELQ milking method, most people will suffer small red fleck in the glans, do not worry, this is completely normal, about a week later, the phenomenon will disappear. Do the practice 15 minutes a day after the warm up and do 300 milking exercises. You should grab your penis from the roots slide into the glans every time. And the exercise should maintain at least one second. At the same time you should do 100 PC practice. After one week, a new cycle in the penis and the intensity will be established.

During the 2nd week, you should increase the intensity of exercise to complete a 10-minute JELQ practice. On the other hand, you should do 200 PC practices. The practice should not stop unless you feel the pain is not normal.

During the 3rd third week, practice will be extended to 30 minutes. Do not try to cut the 10 minutes of preheating; it's very important for the whole practice. Once you start, be sure to finish it!

Such grounding provides a map for finding one's way back to center after serious challenge, loss, frustration, or pain.

HUMOR

Resilience includes a little or a lot of humor. The ability to be in the middle of a situation-or at the end of it-and perceive the amusing elements of it is a gift. Understanding how comical the human condition really is allows folks to see something funny even in a tragedy. While there may not be anything funny about a relative's funeral, there could be some tiny incident, some story, some remark that is funny and stands a part from the sadness like a fleck of silver glitter on a sheet of black paper.

FLEXIBILITY

One of the best ways to stock the resiliency bank is to learn to adjust to various circumstances rather than resist them. Resistance often brings breakage. People don't have to like their problems, but they may want to start embracing them instead of fighting them. With fighting and resisting comes rigidity, and this serves no one. GROWTH CONSCIOUS

Resilient people feel thankful for every event in their lives: the good and joyful as well as the negative and upsetting. They grasp the fact that all of these together serve as necessary teachers. A grateful heart can be cultivated over time if folks don't have one naturally. It's worth the effort too, because bitterness cannot coexist with gratitude. Only a Dog Lover Could Really Love "Best in Show" - A Mockumentary

Director Christopher Guest teamed with Eugene Levy as writers for "Best in Show" that looks at the funnier side of the legendary Westminster Kennel Club's annual competition, otherwise known as a prestigious dog show.

Premiere voted the result as one of "The 50 Greatest Comedies of All Time" in 2006. Premiere, an American and New York City-based film magazine, was published from 1987 to 2007 before becoming an online-only publication.

Best in Show uses a camera crew to follow the foibles and fortunes of the owners (and handlers) of five show dogs headed for the annual Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show in Philadelphia.

Traveling from Florida is Cookie Fleck (Catherine O'Hara) and Gerry Fleck (played by film writer Eugene Levy). Gerry literally has two left feet and Cookie apparently bedded hundreds of men on her way to marrying Gerry.

She meets many of her former lovers in the film, aggravating her bumpkin husband to no end. Cookie was "hot" and apparently very available.

Coming from North Carolina is Harlan Pepper (played by director and writer Christopher Guest, the real-life husband of Jamie Lee Curtis, a marriage that has lasted since 1984). Pepper owns a fly-fishing shop and is enamored with his Bloodhound "Hubert".

Shari Cabot (Jennifer Coolidge) is a voluptuous, wealthy blond bimbo and gold-digger married to Leslie Cabot (Patrick Cranshaw). Shari owns Rhapsody in White, a perfectly manicured poodle who is the two-time defending Best in Show champion.

Her husband Leslie says not a word in the film, appears dead, embalmed and strapped to a wheelchair. Shari is not only enamored with her poodle but also with her handler Christy Cummings (Jane Lynch). Christy and Shari are in more heat than any masculine, healthy dog could muster.

Coming from who knows where with their entry are Stefan Vanderhoof (Michael McKean) and Scott Donlan (John Michael Higgins), an outgoing, outrageous, stereotypical gay couple.

These four entrants are joined by Meg Swan (Parker Posey) and Hamilton Swan (Michael Hitchcock). The Swans are anything but graceful, quiet and beautiful to be around.

They are DINKs (double income, no kids) who constantly scream at each other throughout the film, raising their invective to an art form. Meg and Hamilton are so up tight it is a wonder they can even relieve themselves at appropriate times.

Despite being a comedy, the behavior of the Swans in Best of Show is so well done and lifelike that their tirade ceases to be funny and becomes disturbing. Neither Posey or Hitchcock received an acting award for their performances, but I could not fault them for their effort.

Two more notable performances in this film come from Buck Laughlin (Fred Willard) as the "color commentator" at the prestigious competition, and from Mark Schaefer (Ed Begley, Jr., almost my namesake) as manager of the Taft Hotel that put up with the dog show owners in Philly.

Fred Willard's commentary in this film lives on; it is used occasionally by sports talk radio hosts Groz and Gas as a humor segment on the most popular sports talk station in the country, KJR 950 in Seattle.

Despite its rating as one of The 50 Greatest Comedies of All Time by Premiere magazine, Best in Show comes up short on the awards end. It earned a Golden Globe nomination as Best Comedy and a few lesser awards.

Best in Show earned only million at the box office, perhaps because of its slow start. It opened the 1st week at only 13 theaters nationally, moved to 53 theaters its 2nd week, 291 its 3rd week and finally broke though with 497 theaters its 4th week, topping million before dying off after 12 weeks.

Best in Show is referred to as a "mockumentary", a word that does not appear in The New Oxford American Dictionary (my personal word bible). One might call Best in Show a parody of a documentary with humor as the centerpiece. It is good for some laughs.

This is for those that go to Florida to get out of the cold and to fish for bass.

First, let me tell you a secret.......if you want more of a chance to catch a trophy size bass..10 pounds plus, try live shiners. For those like me, who wouldn't use a live bait even for a 20 pound bass then read on.

The Big T

Take Golden Gate Parkway to the end (going East) and turn left, go to Golden Gate Blvd. and turn right. Take Golden Gate Blvd to Everglades Blvd and turn right again. Take Everglades Blvd almost to the end and you'll see a primitive boat ramp on your left and usually some people fishing or camping. (about 8-10 miles from turning on this road)

Once you're in the water and heading out go to the right and fish that canal. I have caught some nice bass here using Zoom chartruese pepper lizard, Charlie's Twitchin Shad, salt and pepper and Berkly Blue fleck Power Worms.

Again, this is a great place to use shiners and have seen many 10 pound plus bass taken from here.

Golden Gate Canals

When on Golden Gate Parkway (not Blvd) and you're going east, you'll pass a bridge and see a big field with many cars or trucks on the right. You'll also see a primitive boat ramp. Put your boat in there and go left from the boat ramp. You'll come to a big opening, try fishing the little lake, so to speak there, then try the canals.

I have seen 10 pound plus bass taken from the little lake and canals both. Don't be surprised if you hook a nice tarpon or snook in the canals or lake, they are land locked and adapted to freshwater.

Again, for the live bait fisherman, this a great for shiners. I have used a Berkley Blue Fleck Worm, white buzzbaits and spinners here with great success.

Once you get to the main canal, you can go left again and go under the bridge and get to some good fishing where the canal bends about a mile from where you get in the main canal. It's pretty primitive out there with some nice fish.

Be careful right before you get to the bridge as sometimes it gets pretty shallow there. So go Slow by the bridge.

Seven Lakes

If you take 75 towards the east coast of Florida and go through the toll-booth, the next exit is route 29. Once you get there, turn right. Go about a hundred yards and you'll see a fence with a dirt road. There are seven little lakes there and any of them are good fishing. The one I like best is the last one on the right.

This again is great for shiners. I have caught bass on buzzbaits, spinners and Charlie's Twitchin shad there.

I heard the state might have closed this down to public fishing but it's worth checking out just incase they haven't.

Okeechobee

What can you say about Okeechobee that hasn't been said? You have to try this huge lake. Shiners of course is the best bait but I had good look with Charlie's Twitchin Shad there and Zoom Lizards.

I like the East end of the lake the best.

Mile Marker 52 on 75

If you go toward the East coast on 75 from Naples, when you hit mile marker 75, you'll see an opening with a dirt road (pay attention or you'll miss it.), go down the dirt road and go under the bridge you just went over and launch your boat there.

Once in the water, go left (South), you'll see a big sign that says "no tresspassing". This is Indian property. Go on down the canal, but DO NOT FOR ANY REASON go on the land. The Indians own the land but not the waterways.

Start fishing on the left side of the canal. Try using a zoom Chartruese 6" Lizard. The water will be shallow at the edges but there is a shelf within a few feet that is like 10 foot deep.

This is without a doubt one of the best places I have ever fished for bass. It's nothing to catch 20 bass a day here. I have one that is 6 1/2 pounds from here. I kept it because a gator decided he wanted it too.

Oh yeah, that is another thing, there are thousands of gators in the canal here.

This is my list of places to fish in Southwest Florida.
